Visitor Liaison Officer / Chapel Administrator / Events Management
Central Oxford – Salary; £27,500 t0 £31,000 full time
The role is 35 hours a week but spaced over 6 days – Thursday to Tuesday so job share would be considered
Person 1 Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
Person 2 Thursday, Friday and Saturday
This unique role is set in one of Oxfords central prestigious colleges which has an onsite Chapel and duties will vary in term time and holidays.
We are looking for a friendly, self-motivated and highly organised person to manage all chapel services, concerts and events. This role will be attractive to a recent graduate with an interest in music or the chapel environment, or to someone with hospitality or customer service experience seeking experience in administration and events management.
Outside of term time (about 10-12 weeks a year)
The post-holder will work as a Visitor Liasion Officer for up to 75% of their time, providing a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors, in excess of 60,000 in the summer season. You will be answering questions about the College and University and handle card transaction for visitor admissions and souvenir sales.
Hours:
Term Time:
5-6 days a week, must be on site 4 pm to 7.30 pm every day except Wednesday, other hours vary including some later evenings. Wednesdays are a regular day off
Out of Term:
5 days a week to include 3-4 days per week 12-5pm as Visitor Liaison Officer and 1-2 days a week in chapel for occasional events and services (including weekend work for weddings)
Holidays: 30 days plus bank holidays
